FAQ
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RIDE?
We do not have a minimum age requirement for Hydro Flight, however all riders must weigh at least 80 lbs. That’s usually anywhere from 10 - 12 years old depending on the child. Not all children that meet the weight limit are necessarily ready for hydro flight. Parents / guardians should discuss this with the child to be sure it is something they want to do.
DOES IT TAKE A LOT OF STRENGTH TO RIDE A BOARD?
It does takea bit of balance, but it doesn’t require large amounts of strength. The Flyboard makes you feel and fly like a superhero, but it doesn’t require you to BE a superhero.

IS THE BOARD SO HEAVY ON YOUR FEET THAT YOU CANNOT FLOAT PROPERLY OR MANEUVER WHILE IN THE WATER?
No, the board actually FLOATS and we want you to save your energy for riding so relax and let the water jets do all the work. During your private lesson, your Certified Instructor will be able to show you the correct techniques to maneuver in through and above the water.
WILL THE BOARD PUSH YOU UNDERWATER WHEN YOU FALL?
No, if you are on the board with a Certified Instructor on the throttle, they are trained to observe you at all times and to cut the power when required. You will be submerged for an instant, but will come right back to the surface.
CAN WE BRING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?
We want you to have FUN! But, we also want you to be safe. Please do not consume any alcohol prior to your flight, but, if you want to enjoy an adult beverage after your flight – that’s fine. In fact, if yours is the last flight of the day, we may even join you!
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE GROUPS?
Absolutely! The more the merrier! You can even book us for the entire day so all your friends can come. Just give us a call for your custom package.
HOW DOES FLYBOARDING WORK?
A 60-foot hose connects your flyboard to a jet ski being ridden by one of our certified instructors. The propulsion of the jet ski sends water through the hose, propelling you into the air. The instructor controls your height based on your skill and experience, guaranteeing a fun, safe flight.
HOW HIGH CAN I FLY?
How high do you want to fly? This really depends on you. It’s all at your comfort level. If you want to fly 5 feet or feel comfortable getting as high as 40, it’s all up to you. But, we will never have you fly higher than we feel is safe for you. The better you get, the higher you will be able to fly. And, with a little practice, you may decide that instead of spending all your time in the air, you’d rather do a little underwater flying – dolphin-style!
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO LEARN TO FLYBOARD?
The average person takes 3-7 minutes to learn the basic maneuvers. If you have experience with any sports that require balance, you will learn much quicker. Each time you come back we’ll help you improve your skills until you can safely perform all the tricks you want.
